much does it cost to register a domain?
The current cost is $25(US) a year with a two
year minimum.
Can
you bill me for this so I can pay later?
Not at this time. ICANN is requiring that all
domains be pre-paid before they are activated.
What
forms of payment do you accept?
We currently accept Master Card, Visa, American
Express, Discover/NOVUS, Checks, and Money
Orders. Make any check or money order payable to
DomainsNow.com/WindsorNET Online Inc., please
include your domain name and order number with
your payment.
How
do I tell if a domain I want is available?
The system will tell you it isn't available when
you try and register it. You can also use the Whois
interface to check to see if a domain is taken
as well.
What
if I need to make changes to my domain?
If you made a mistake entering information for
your domain or things have changed since you
registered your domain you can edit it. Just go to the
Make Changes web interface and make the required
changes. You can make almost any change to your
domain there.
What
if I forget or don't know my password to edit my
domain?
Contact us by email or phone and we can send the
password by email to the administrative contact
of the domain.
Can
I host my web site with anyone even though I am
buying the domain name from Internet Gateway?
Yes, you can host your web site with anyone that
you choose.
How
much would it cost to have WindsorNET Online
host my web site for me?
Currently the cost is $29.95(US) a month. A
starter account is available at $20.00.
WindsorNET Online offers many different options
for hosting your web site. If you buy a domain
name from us for a limited time we will wave the
setup fees.
Once
I register for a domain name do I own it?
No, not until the domain is activated. There is
the possibility that someone else could have
registered for the same domain name slightly
before you did and got the domain name first.
How
will I know when/if I got the domain name I
registered for?
Once the domain has been activated you will
receive an e-mail to let you know your
registration has been completed, and the domain
name is active.
Once
my domain name is active how long before I can
use it?
Generally it takes about 12-48 hours before
everyone on the internet is able to see your new
domain name.
Who
do I contact if I am having trouble with the web
interface?
You should email support@domainsnow.com
and try to be as specific as possible about the
problems you are having.
